The Great Unwashed - Clean Out Of Our Minds

The Clean’s first solid incarnation dissolved in late 1982, leaving in their wake the EP’s Boodle Boodle Boodle and Great Sounds Great… plus 2 singles. These are indeed treasures and are recognised as such. Robert Scott would form The Bats by 1983 (which is another story of a unique, powerful force of nature). 
This left the brothers David and Hamish Kilgour as The Great Unwashed. Creating incredible, mainly acoustic home recordings which would culminate in this here album: Clean Out Of Our Minds, recorded and released in 1983, originally through Flying Nun Records.
Peter Gutteridge (Snapper) would join for the next 5 track double single, which was pretty much the original 1979 line up of The Clean.
This album Clean Out Of Our Minds is solid gold, emanating from the (one of the) golden periods of NZ music.
